Since June of 2020, Kinetic Kids has been operating with options of virtual programming (ie stay strong website series), and in-person programming. We are very proud of the work we have been able to offer and the lives we have been able to touch thru continued programming during such a challenging year.
Currently, in March of 2022, covid restrictions and guidelines continue to evolve and Kinetic Kids is staying abreast of our current covid policies, continually updating, and communicating those with you. We remain steadfast and conservative to first and foremost meet the goal of keeping all of our Kinetic Kids safe and healthy.
In keeping with the CDC’s guidelines that Kinetic Kids has adhered to throughout this pandemic, we have adopted their most recent mask requirements. As always, if any Kinetic Kids staff member, volunteer, or participant feels ill, they will need to stay home to mitigate the spread of their illness. However, since the CDC currently lists Bexar County’s Community COVID-19 Level as MEDIUM (as of 3/9/22), masks will not be required at this time for any of our programs.
The CDC lists these points we’d like to share for Bexar Country’s Medium Level:
People may choose to mask at any time, but people with symptoms or a positive test will be asked to stay home.
We will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and will provide hand sanitizer and masks for those who need them at all programs.
If you have any questions regarding these policies, please contact Shelby Hunemiller at Shelby@kinetickidstx.org or (210)-748-5860.
Currently, there are no diagnosis restrictions or mobility limitations that eliminate a child from participation in our programs. There are certain classes that are more appropriate for some children based on level of mobility, diagnosis, and cognitive age-level. Our goal is to provide each child the best opportunity for success within the separate divisions set forth within programs. If there is a question on which division will maximize successful participation, the program director will determine the most appropriate division for that season. Although there are no diagnosis restrictions or mobility limitations that eliminate a child from participation in programs, there are requirements for participation:
Kinetic Kids provides opportunities for children with special needs through sport and recreational activities. Although we pride ourselves on empowerment through inclusion, the physical safety of every child remains paramount. Kinetic Kids reserves the discretion to limit the participation of any child when the foreseeable risk is likely to result in bodily injury. Here are some guidelines and restrictions for participation in some of our programs:
Kinetic Kids is not liable and cannot control all photos taken since our programs are in a public, group setting. It is ultimately the parent/caregiver’s responsibility to ensure their child is not in photos if that is their intention. Any photos taken at Kinetic Kids, Inc. events become the property of Kinetic Kids, Inc. and parents/guardians agree by their child’s participation:
