We are so cool….
For children ages 18 months to 5 years with special needs who are unable to participate in mainstream sports and recreational programs due to a limitation related to their diagnosis. Each participant is partnered with a parent or guardian and the programs focus on nurturing the parent/child relationship while encouraging activity, interaction and fun among participants.
Designed for children ages 5-21 years with special needs. We strive to provide one-on-one volunteers for Champions as the children in this division often need more assistance to be successful. Additionally, coaches in the Champions division will take sensory breaks between structured tasks as needed by each class.
For children with a physical disability OR those with developmental disabilities who follow directions in a group setting. Assistance is provided to ensure each participant’s success.
Tryouts or identification by program directors are required for participation in the Premier division which is appropriate for athletes with intellectual or physical disabilities with both the skill and desire to compete at a higher level. All athletes must attend player placement and meet the required benchmarks for each sport to participate. Athletes must be successful in the Allstars division and be able to compete without volunteer assistance and meet any program-specific criteria. Athletes may participate in finales within Kinetic Kids, local meets or state competitions. Typically these programs are scheduled and billed monthly. Learn more here.
Athlete evaluations or identification by program directors are required for our most competitive division. SA Xtreme is a sport division of Kinetic Kids designed for athletes with a Limb Deficiency or Amputation, Short Stature, Neurological Condition which affects motor coordination (such as, Cerebral Palsy or Traumatic Brain Injury), Impaired Muscle Power (resulting from a Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, or Muscular Dystrophy), or Visual Impairment.
All athletes must attend player placement and meet the required benchmarks for each sport to participate. Athletes should have both the skill and desire to compete at a higher level without volunteer assistance and are committed to a more intense training schedule to achieve their goals at local, regional, state and national competitions. Typically these programs are scheduled and billed monthly, however, at this level of competition, Kinetic Kids covers the costs of all competitions. Learn more here.
