What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
Enabling kids of all abilities to experience individual and team sports is what I love most about Kinetic Kids. As a parent of a Kinetic Kid, I have seen firsthand the impact it has had. My son has watched his siblings play team sports but until we discovered this program, he was unable to participate. Kinetic Kids gave my son the ability to share in the same experiences as his siblings and in the process gain a sense of pride and confidence.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
What excites me most about being an ambassador is being able to spread awareness of the Kinetic Kids program. Hopefully, by sharing the message, more kids can have an experience like my son.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent Kinetic Kids to help spread awareness and bring more children into the program.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
I love the sense of family and belonging that being a part of Kinetic Kids gives me. Being able to compete in sports in a welcoming and inclusive environment is a wonderful feeling.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I’m excited about the leadership and growth opportunities. Such as public speaking, volunteering, and networking throughout the San Antonio area, including my hometown of Boerne. I’m also excited to represent Kinetic Kids and be able to give back to the community.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent Kinetic Kids to give back to the amazing community and all the people who make it amazing. Kinetic Kids has helped me so much for the past year and a half and I feel like it’s my time to give back.

My favorite part about Kinetic Kids is meeting so many new friends and learning so many new skills. The friendships I’ve made and the memories we have together help me feel I’ll always have spaces where I can be unfiltered and 100% authentic.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
From jumping off a 5-meter diving board to being Ariel’s dad dressed up with a full beard and trident, to learning new dance moves, to swimming a full 150 meters with a college coach cheering me on, to thrashing on a skateboard down a half pipe, Kinetic Kids has shown me my life is full of joy and possibility.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
We love that it offers Oliver a way to participate in something he loves, safely, and in an environment that is equipped to help children with special needs. The Kinetic Kids community has been welcoming and has helped Oliver blossom. He has been able to participate in swim lessons and work on social skills with other children. We as parents, have been given an opportunity to see our child be included in an environment that not only keeps him active but allows him to be social with others and truly get off the sidelines.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
What excites us about being an ambassador is the opportunity to help Kinetic Kids. Being able to gain valuable skills, while helping an organization that has given our son so much, is a wonderful opportunity. It is truly something that we would love to be a part of.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
I love the work that Kinetic Kids continues to do to help many children with special needs around San Antonio. Being a volunteer for the competitive cheer team has been so rewarding, watching the kids work so hard at practices to give it their all on the competition mat. Kinetic Kids builds their confidence and teaches them to be on a team.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
Being an ambassador, I can meet new people within Kinetic Kids, as well as in our community. It also excites me because I get to help with the change that Kinetic Kids is creating for special needs children. Together small changes become big changes and to be a part of that is so amazing.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent KK because I have a brother with special needs, and growing up in a small town we didn’t have organizations like this. KK is helping so many families in the community as well as spreading the word about how this organization is making a difference. I would love to represent all the wonderful kids that the organization has and show the world that they can do anything they set their minds to.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
As a kid, I loved playing baseball! It’s the kind of sport that gives you a support system that lasts well after your season is over. When my education professor Dr. Smith told me about Kinetic Kids, I was so excited to finally branch out of my Trinity University bubble and work with kids from my very own community. After my first season, I was so inspired, and I even began volunteering with my local nonprofit rehabilitative clinic back home for the summer. I got to help kids build their strength and encouraged them just like I did on the diamond field. Kinetic Kids has inspired me to pursue a career as an occupational therapist, and I couldn’t wait to get back to my kiddos the next season! As a volunteer for the baseball program, I’ve been a part of three seasons’ worth of teamwork, friendship, and inspiration that I will cherish for many years to come.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
As a baseball volunteer, I get to hang out with cool people who love the same sport I do. However, as an ambassador, I’d get to meet even MORE great people who recognize the awesomeness that is Kinetic Kids as a whole. The developing leadership and management skills are also an added bonus to being an ambassador!

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent KK as a way of returning the favor. This organization as given me so many friends. fun times, and memories; the least I could do is spread the word of just how amazing KK really is. I can’t wait to spresad our message with my fellow peers at Trinity University, my hometown in hte Rio Grande Valley and my current SA community. I want to help kids ceomr the people they want to ev and show off their talendted skills to the rest of hte world!

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
Kinetic Kids means never having to say “I’m sorry”: I never have to say “I’m sorry son, you cannot play basketball” “I’m sorry Coach, my son is stimming and needs more time” “I’m sorry Parent, My son doesn’t understand boundaries and I’ll try to keep him from staying too close to your son”, “I’m sorry, my son doesn’t talk or understand that you do not want to play with him”.

Kinetic Kids enables all each child to be there very best, and never judges our children’s short comings. As a Parent, I get to set on the sideline with other parents, laugh and enjoy my child for being who he is.  The volunteers are so amazing and works with each child’s strengths.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I want to spread the word, and help other parents know about this amazing resource. I want to encourage others to volunteer or get involved in every way possible.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
As a parent of a Kinetic kid, I want to pay it forward. I want to help raise funds and raise awareness for Kinetic Kids.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I am excited to work with people who come from different backgrounds and have different goals in life. I want to learn more about what other people are interested in and find out more about myself through that. I am excited to grow a relationship with the other people in the organization and continue to build on that. I’m excited to be doing hands-on work and raise money while spending time doing something I am passionate about.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
It’s something that I have been interested in for a while now and it would help me down my path. I want to help people and represent and encourage other people to take action and to work towards what they believe in. I want to help people who don’t have the same abilities as me and see life from their perspective. I recently worked at a camp for kids with cerebral palsy and it was an eye-opening experience for me and I want to continue to interact with people and learn from those experiences.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
What I love about Kinetic Kids is that they welcome everyone even kids that other people might not welcome.. I also love Kinetic Kids because they are super reliable and kind.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I am excited to be around such wonderful people creating an excellent community. During Castroville’s holiday Gingerbread House Party, I dressed up as Frosty the Snowman and enjoyed the kid’s smiles and happiness when they saw me and gave me hugs and high fives.

I want to represent Kinetic Kids because it helped me gain confidence when I participated in programs in 2006, 2008, 2012, and 2014. I was able to make friends with kids like me. It helped me believe in myself when I didn’t believe I could do certain things.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
As a parent of two children with special needs, who participate in Kinetic Kids programs, I can’t express enough how grateful I am this program exists. I have watched as my children have not only gained sports-specific skills, but have also developed confidence, learned to set goals and work hard to achieve them, developed friendships, and so much more. I could never explain in just a few lines what it felt like to watch my daughter walk up to me smiling from ear to ear when she faced her fears and jumped off the 3-meter dive platform for the first time or what it felt like to see my son lose a soccer game and be able to do it gracefully and celebrate the successes that he did have in the game. There have been so many more moments like these because of Kinetic Kids.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I am excited to tell others about Kinetic Kids and share why it is so important to support this amazing organization.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent KK so I can share my passionfor their mission, I hope that in some small way through my firsthand experience I can bring awareness to all teh ways KK benefits our local community and beyond.

I love that KK has changed how I have done sports. I used to not be able to do sports very well. KK has helped me with my accomplishments that I have wanted to do.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
To let kids in the world with special needs to do sports. When I was like 4 or 5, I started KK by swimming. They have helped me learn how to swim. Now I am diving! And another thing is when I started gymnastics I couldn’t do a cartwheel. I used to just do a step. I couldn’t even hop. Now that I am 10, you can see light under my feet-even on the balance beam. Because KK has helped me. I want to help other kinds in the world.
