Volunteering with Kinetic Kids has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I have watched this community grow into a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment where participants, staff, volunteers, and families come together for a shared purpose! What I love most is the opportunity to connect with each participant, to see them for who they truly are, and to offer the support and encouragement that helps them thrive. Being part of this community has not only allowed me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, but it has also inspired me to grow alongside them as I learn the true value of compassion, patience, and dedication.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
As an ambassador, I’m excited to share my volunteer journey, inspiring others to join the KK team and experience the joy of making a difference. I love being part of each child’s journey, witnessing their growth and confidence flourish, while also growing myself through leadership. I’m also excited to be able to fundraise as an ambassador to keep the program going to enable children in having fun!

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent KK to show the world the power of this program in building confidence and breaking barriers. It’s a place where kids prove time and time again, that disabilities don’t define their potential. My leadership platform focuses on empowering every child to push their limits, embrace their abilities and silence doubts – whether their own or others. I want to be a voice of encouragement and support, helping kids prove that they can achieve greatness and celebrate every victory along the way.

Ease of the program and people. Meeting people, volunteer opportunities at events in hte community. Helping people with disability to see themselves as an overcomer.

Because I was shy about meeting new people and trying new tasks and Kinetic Kids helped to guide me and showed me love nad acceptance.

I love that Kinetic Kids has allowed my child to grow as an athlete and as an example for her community.

Being an ambassador would give me the opportunity to help raise funds so other children may have the same opportunities as my child.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I would like the opportunity to represent KK because they have given my child a chance to grow athletically and socially. Before KK this was not possible. I would like to reach out to schools in my area so kids with special needs can know they have the same opportunities as our kids trying out for sports.

Just the idea of bringing awareness to this amazing organization through events, fundraising and word of mouth, So many parents of special needs individuals just want to see our children included and have no idea what or how to do that, Kinetic Kids does that and more.

I want to represent KK because I feel there are too many people who have no idea what we are and what we do. I want to bring awareness to the fact that special needs individuals can do anything and will do anything when they are given the change time to shine.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?

Kinetic Kids showed me that I was not alone. Through programs like dance, gymnastics, T ball, art, track and field, and Outdoor Explorers, I gained confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of community. I also met my best friend DiDi Neal, and together we supported each other through everything – middle school, high school, and beyond. Kinetic Kids changed my life forever.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

I am excited to give back to the organization that helped shape who I am today and to help other kids experience the same joy, support, and lifelong impact that Kinetic Kids gave me.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to represent Kinetic Kids because it transformed my life and showed me the power of inclusion and community. My leadership platform focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and connection. Today I work full time at UTSA as the Training Coordinator for the SBDC, coordinating over 300 workshops for more than 12,000 attendees. I want every child to experience the same support, friendship, and sense of belonging that Kinetic Kids provided for me.

I love that Kinetic Kids has fun sports programs for special needs kids like me. Because of KK, I learned to swim and how to do gymnastics.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

I like telling others about Kinetic Kids and sharing my story.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I know how much the programs help children like me. One fun drumming event lead me to be a drummer in middle school band. Now I am in high school and a percussionist in the marching band! It’s important Kinetic Kids programs get the funding needed to impact more children’s lives.

I love that Kinetic Kids offers numerous sports and recreational programs for special needs children like my brother. The inclusive programs make such a positive impact in their lives such as building self esteem and confidence to try new fun activities.

I like improving my communication and leadership skills by telling others about Kinetic Kids mission. I also love the volunteering opportunities that being an Ambassador provides

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

As a sibling of a Kinetic Kid, I have seen first hand the positive impact this amazing non-profit gives their participants through their programs. Playing sports and participating in fun activities should be for everyone! I will utilize my leadership and communication skills to raise the funds needed for Kinetic Kids to continue their wonderful programs.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?

Having previously been an ambassador, I enjoy volunteering with Kinetic Kids. Being able to give back to the Special Needs community, while also providing a voice as an advocate is rewarding. I like being able to see all the Kinetic Kids engage in activities, from soccer to basketball to music.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

Being an ambassador gives me the opportunity to provide awareness to others about the mission of Kinetic Kids. In addition, seeing the joy on the faces of all the participants makes me feel great about the support and work that we provide.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to represent Kinetic Kids in order to spread awareness and to be an advocate for the Special Needs community.

I love the safe environment for my son and other kids with special abilities to have a safe and positive space to participant in various events. I love that I can connect with other parents and help build “our village.”

I am excited about paying it forward and giving back!

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
I want to represent Kinetic Kids to provide an additional voice for those who are a part of Kinetic Kids and the special needs community. I feel that the Kinetic Kids mission, vision and overall goals are items that align with my own personal beliefs and values.

For my leadership platform, I wish to continue to build and expand the Kinetic Kids brand. Through fundraising and awareness, I want to be able to extend the Kinetic Kids program to those who do not know about it.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?
I love how Kinetic Kids does sports and creates opportunities for children with special needs. Kinetic Kids allows for all kids to participate in  all the sports that I love. Being a part of a team and playing soccer is a passion of mine and huge part of my life. I want to help create opportunities for all kids to participate in sports and have fun.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I want to join the cause and raise funds so all kids can have access to sports. My aunt, Diana Neal, was one of the original Kinetic Kids and Kinetic Kids brought her so much happiness. I want to be a part of this mission in her honor.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?
Every kid deserves to be a kid and have fun, have friends and play sports. I want to spread the word and help others be inclined for inclusion.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?

The thing I like most about KK is teh family-like connection that I am able to build with my teammates and my coaches. What keeps me coming back of all the friendships that I have made throughout all the sports that I compete in.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

What excited me about being an ambassador is that I would be able to represent KK and talk to people about all of the opportunities kids have to get involved with activities like sports, arts, robotics and music. I want to help reach other kids who could benefit from KK.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to represent Kinetic Kids and bring awareness to this amazing organization. I have alreadystarted doing that by participating in Discovery Disability Days. When I go to Discovery Disability Days I am able to interact with kids who may not be aware of people like me and show them what it is like to live with a disability. My leadership platform is to continue bringing awareness to people with disabilities and show how Kinetic Kids gives people like me the opportunity to participate in activities like everyone else.

Kinetic Kids has been apart of my life for about 4 years now, and it is such a great organization. I love being able to help people and meet new people along the way. I have made so many great connections
throughout my years volunteering and being an ambassador.

What excites me most is getting to listen to other’s peoples stories and meeting new people and have new opportunities.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?

Kinetic Kids offers opportunities that many children with disabilities might not otherwise have access to, and that is what makes the mission so meaningful to me. Through its adaptive access to, and that is what makes the mission so meaningful to me. Through its adaptive sports and fine arts programs, children are given space to grow, express themselves, and build confidence in ways that fit their individual abilities. I really value that the organization understands success looks different for every child and creates programs that reflect that. I also admire how Kinetic Kids supports families alongside participants, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels included, respected, and encouraged.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

I am excited about being an Ambassador because it would allow me to stay actively involved with Kinetic Kids while helping share its mission and programs with a wider audience. Being part of a community that values inclusion, empowerment, and access for children with disabilities gives me a stronger sense of purpose. I look forward to connecting with others who are passionate about supporting children and their families and working together on meaningful fundraising and outreach initiatives. Contributing to efforts that expand awareness and participation in these programs would be both motivating and fulfilling for me. I want to represent Kinetic Kids because the organization empowers children with disabilities to build confidence, develop skills, and participate in inclusive opportunities that positively shape their lives. The mission of Kinetic Kids aligns with my passion for service, advocacy, and community engagement, and I am inspired by the impact the organization has on children and families in San Antonio. I am excited about the opportunity to help expand awareness and support Kinetic Kids across campus and throughout the local positively shape their lives. As an ambassador, I plan to increase campus wide recognition of Kinetic Kids through awareness events, social media campaigns, and partnerships with student organizations. I also aim to collaborate with San Antonio community partners such as local nonprofits, businesses, and health organizations to create joint fundraising events and outreach initiatives. By strengthening connections between the university and the community, I hope to expand Kinetic Kids’ reach and inspire long term support for its mission.

What I love about Kinetic Kids is its commitment to true inclusion. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, and after participating for several years, I’ve seen firsthand the confidence and joy that grow when kids are fully included. Kinetic Kids creates spaces where every child feels valued, capable, and free to just be a kid.

What excites me about Kinetic Kids is its mission to empower children who are differently abled through sports, recreation, and inclusion. I’m excited to support work that ensures all kids are seen, valued, and given the chance to build confidence and belong.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to represent Kinetic Kids because I believe in its mission and have seen its impact firsthand.
As a parent of a neurodivergent child and a participant for several years, I’ve watched confidence and joy grow when kids are fully included. My leadership platform is grounded in servant leadership, shaped by three decades of military service and continued community engagement through nonprofit organizations.

What do you love about Kinetic Kids?

I really love how welcoming and friendly everyone is. All the volunteers are so I really love how welcoming and friendly everyone is. All the volunteers are so happy to help with the kids and work with each other, which makes things feel really positive. On top of that, it’s great to see that everyone wants to be here, they aren’t being forced or anything. They’re here because they enjoy it, and that makes the whole environment so much better and more fun for everyone.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

I get excited by volunteering at Hootenanny and other fun events like Paddle Battle, the Expo and more. I also love that I can help my community out.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to Represent Kinetic Kids because my older brother, Alex Shrout, is a Kinetic Kids participant. My leadership platform is mostly word of mouth. I’ve been able to get a lot of people to donate and bring awareness just by sharing how much kinetic kids cares about its community and the children in it.

What I love about Kinetic kids is all kids of all abilities can participate in sports just like their peers and be included. Kinetic kids give kids confidence, and they make friends that will last a lifetime. The coaches and volunteers are awesome and always make the sport or recreational program adaptive to meet each athlete’s ability. I get to share how much impact kinetic kids have had on me as a former athlete.

What excited you about being an Ambassador?

Iam really excited to be an ambassador because I get to share how awesome kinetic kids is to the community and raise awareness that all kids can be included with all different abilities.

Why do you want to represent Kinetic Kids?

I want to represent kinetic kids because the program does so much great work for everyone involved. Personally, Kinetic kids helped me build confidence, gain independence and allowed me to play sports with athletes with similar diagnosis and compete. Honestly, I don’t know where I would be without Kinetic kids for the multiple years I played, they create so many great opportunities for everyone and change lives.

I love Kinetic Kids because I am able to participate in sports and other activities. I have met so many friends because of Kinetic Kids.

I love sharing my story of how Kinetic Kids has helped me to be able to play sports and compete like regular kids do.

I want to introduce other kids to KK so they will have a chance to do the things they love.

I love that I meet new friends and see old ones. There is a sport or two that I get to try every year and then there’s my favorite, Cheer! Kinetic Kids has programs made for me. This year I participated in Adaptive Ski!

What excited you about being an Ambassador?
I get to tell people how great KK is to those who have a disability. They have sports for every kid that thinks they couldn’t do it. I get to be part of special events and fundraising.

I love what KK stands for. I want to tell people about how wonderful and how good KK is for those who have a disability.

I want to say everything and I will say everything! I am encouraged by the participants with all their hard work and joy they receive after they words. I love the parents the community we have built together and the staff. The staff is always amazing.

The best thing about being an ambassador is the camaraderie, building new friendships with all working towards the same goal!
